Facilities

Training Center


Theoretical knowledge training and flight training is conducted at the Academy's facilities in Buleleng - Bali, Banyuwangi - East Java, Lombok - Nusa Tenggara Barat and Palangkaraya - Central Kalimantan. During the course, cross country training to a few other airports is also conducted. All our courses are designed to meet the requirements stipulated by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation of Indonesia and all training is conducted in a manner to ensure that international standards are met. Internal tests, examinations, stage checks and check rides are conducted during and at the end of each course.

  • Classrooms and Computer Room (CBT & Radiotelephony)

    Our modern air-conditioned classrooms are well equipped and have training equipment such as multimedia projectors, audio-visual systems, wireless internet connectivity and advanced training materials. Our Academy has five networked classroom at our different training bases and one dedicated CBT room.

  • Library

    We have a well-stocked library where students have access to a wealth of aviation related information such as books, guides, and other reference materials

  • Flight Training Devices :

    We provide Flight Training Devices (FTDs) which have been approved by the FAA and subsequently certified by the Indonesian DGCA. BIFA operates a total of 4 FTDs which are used for simulating a variety of scenarios in various aircraft configurations. Flight Training Devices allow students to be exposed to a variety of scenarios including instrument training procedures, emergency procedures etc. This helps us prepare well rounded pilots who are competent in dealing confidently with a multitude of situations.

  • Flight Training :

    Flight Training Devices is conducted using a fleet of Cessna 172s and Piper Seminoles. Flight Training involves the students flying with instructors on board during which they guide them through the various stages of flight training (dual flight) and the students flying solo during which they get to hone the skills taught to them by their instructors.

Hangar


Our well-equipped maintenance hangar comfortably accommodates our aircraft for scheduled and unscheduled maintenance. Located within the hanger is a spare parts store and a maintenance control room

Our Fleet


Our fleet consists of 18 Cessna 172 Single Engine Aircraft at 3 Turbo Charged Piper Seminole Aircraft that are maintained to IFR standards.

Dormitory


Accommodation for students is strategically located to minimize the time spent travelling to and from the airport. Dormitories are available in the Buleleng and Banyuwangi campus with separate sections for male and female students. BIFA also provides accommodation whenever the training is being conducted at a satellite base. All dormitory rooms are on a twin sharing basis and are equipped with air-conditioner, study tables and wardrobes for students.

Cafeteria


Our spacious cafeteria serves as a place where students can enjoy a warm meal as they catch up with peers, network and form bonds with fellow classmates and aviators. The cafeteria provides three nutritious meals each day.

Canteen & Leisure Area


During break times or when they have finished classes or training for the day, students can unwind at the cozy canteen located near the swimming pool where they can buy snacks, read magazines, browse the internet on their personal devices, telephone their loved ones and generally enjoy a free and easy time.
